Sally Greenberg, CLC |
The Child Labor Coalition welcomes Sally Greenberg, the new executive director of the National Consumers League (NCL), as co-chair of the CLC. Greenberg succeeded Linda Golodner, who retired as CLC co-chair after 18 years of distinguished leadership. NCL helped establish the CLC in 1989, and since its inception, has co-chaired, coordinated, and staffed the CLC. Greenberg, and the NCL Board of Directors, enthusiastically support NCL’s advocacy to end child labor and its leadership in the CLC. Greenberg joins co-chair Antonia Cortese, Executive Vice President, American Federation of Teachers in continuing the good work of the CLC in 2008 and beyond. “The National Consumers League’s work in child labor issues was one of the things that attracted me to this opportunity, and I am so pleased to be taking over as co-chair of the CLC,” said Greenberg. “It’s an impressive coalition of advocates dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
